I know there are a lot of businesses and causes that can use help right now - I wanted to add one more.
Love Coffee is a new coffee shop here in Columbia. The mission behind the coffee shop is to provide employment and job training for people with physical and mental disabilities. It's run by Love, Inc., a local non-profit.
The shop opened late February/early March, right before COVID-19 and the subsequent stay at home order. Yesterday, they posted on their Facebook page that the shop is in tough shape financially, and barring a financial miracle, they're going to have to shut their doors. Because their business is so new, they are not eligible for relief under the Payroll Protection Program.
