In another thread a poster supplied the following:
No, .500 is not too much to expect in year 2. Not this year, not ever. If expecting .500 basketball is too much then everyone with the basketball program should be reevaluated as they are failing.
So when do the fans get graded? Because they have been failing for years at Paige Arena. Yeah, I know the numbers look good, but actual butts in the seats is HORRIBLE. If I gave it a grade it would be an F.
Oddly, we excuse our way out of this equation with "the seating is flawed", "it's a long way for me to drive", etc.
Technically, I think they are valid points. Yet, when a poster brings up valid issues with why the basketball program is where it is, they are ridiculed incessantly.
If I was a recruit and saw game tape of most of our games, no way I'd want to play in front of those "crowds."
