In a common sense bi-partisan piece of legislation Congress has passed HR 82 eliminating the ridiculous government pension offset and windfall elimination provision rules. Meaning now a retired teacher for instance can collect their PSRS pension and social security, but more importantly they can collect a deceased spouse’s SSI and their pension. Not sure how they’re going to pay for it though.
