D'Moi Hodge

We stayed for a long time after the game, talking to people and watching the beaks and Hogs in OT

After Kobe did his radio and TV interviews...

After some players (like Sean East) met with family and friends...

D'Moi Hodge was shooting 3s at the student end. He had a manager shagging and making passes.

We left at the same time of the targeting call in the beak game

Hodge had already taken at least 50 shots and was still shooting as we left

It's simply anecdotal evidence of the hard work and desire to improve that this team shows

Curtis Peagler

I have a seen a few random posts on here about how this kid has been doing well behind the scenes. I have no clue if thats true or not but wondering what the inside scoop is with this kid. We were his only Power 5 offer and it came on the eve of National Signing Day. It appears that he played on a team in H.S. that won a few Alabama State Titles (no clue the quality of competition). Seems odd for a kid to fly so far under the radar. When he signed he was listed at 6 "4" 340lbs so I doubt there was a size issue holding offers back. Anybody willing to share some optimism on this kid (or any other OL currently on the roster) is greatly welcomed while we await Drink and Co. to reinforce the OL in the portal.

I have been told by people who would know there was an agreement between the coaching staff and Sam's parents to take things slowly (Redshirt) this year. Sam's parents thought it would benefit Sam for him to have a year to adjust to school and college football. I think the one series (& only one) in the New Mexico State game was all you were going to see. There are a lot of dynamics to be managed. Odom was incredibly popular with the players and Drink has had to navigate the transition. I think he has done a pretty good job considering COVID. I think the team is improving but next year (obviously) is huge.

On the piss poor Sec Network would just drop into the abyss So tired of pencil neck talking heads who act like they have all the answers. Other than Mizzou I always hope all sec teams loose in all bowl games. I got no respect for the arrogant numb nuts. Damn shame even ku lost to the pigs. THE STATE OF WHAT WAS MY FAVORITE SPORT IS JUST A DAMN NIL JOKE GO TCU

With this OL

Playing a less mobile QB would have changed the results?

Playing a true freshman behind this OL changes the results?

Drink played the best option, hurt or not.

Abraham played vs Kansas State if you remember, threw two terrible interceptions.

So the options were a true freshman in Horn or Macon, who can't throw a football.

This much is clear, Drink played Cook because he had to.

Drink should be blamed for not having a better option at the start of the year, but this "he should have played someone else" talk is complete nonsense.

NEW STORY CLOSING THOUGHTS FROM MIZZOU ARENA

*This team is fun as hell. The last two games have been the most fun I've had watching Missouri basketball in ten years. They're going to lose some games. They aren't going to shoot out of their heads every night. But even in losses, damn, this is a fun team to watch.

*D'Moi Hodge is my favorite player in at least ten years. He just does not care about anything. He will rise and fire from absolutely anywhere. And more often than not, it's going in.

*Kobe Brown is a bona fide stud. If you're on a basketball list with two names and the other name is Steph Curry, you should feel very good about yourself.

*Here's why this team is good (and, yes, Missouri is legitimately good): Every guy has accepted his role. Kobe Brown is the alpha. Feed him and ride him. When he's not the superstar, Noah Carter has already scored 28 points in a game this year and can be really good. Hodge is the shooter. Dre Gholston does whatever you need. He hasn't been good for 40 minutes a lot, but he's been really good for 20 a few times. Nick Honor is just steady. He probably won't lead Mizzou in scoring in a conference game, but he does what you need him to do. He's a calming presence. Sean East isn't super consistent and he scares the ever loving hell out of me sometimes, but he's capable of taking over a game for stretches as he did in the first half. He scored seven straight as Missouri took its lead to double figures. Aidan Shaw may not score a point the rest of the year, but he's going to bring crazy energy and battle his ass off. Tre Gomillion is the heartbeat. Ronnie DeGray is this generation's Jeff Warren. He'll never get a headline, but you need him to win.

*I don't know what the ceiling is guys. It's a hell of a lot higher than we thought it was two weeks ago. I don't care what they're ranked, I don't want to start looking at Bracketology every day yet. You've waited for this team for ten years. Enjoy the ride where it may take you.
