"We fought hard with the SEC to make sure the Razorbacks would be in the Liberty Bowl"
"No matter what all that baloney was about not wanting to play Kansas, we had some choices...We wanted to have the matchup of Kansas vs Arkansas"
Indicates that Missouri actually fought to get into the game said they deserved it by virtue of beating Arkansas (I don't really know that that part is true)
It looks like Drink wants to hire an OC and the money is available to make it happen. I would hope Drink could find an OC to provide a jolt to the offense AND bring in a solid QB to start until one of our young QB's can take over. Here are three OC options that could also bring in a QB and maybe an offensive linemen or two. Casey Woods is the only one with an obvious connection with Drink.
Let's add Willy Korn - Coastal Carolina to be OC AND bringing with him Grayson McCall
Bryan McClendon- Georgia Currently WR Passing Game Coordinator
Casey Woods- SMU Currently OC
Shannon Dawson- Houston Currently OC
Potential QB transfers
Clayton Tune- Houston Currently a senior with Covid year option
Gunner Stockton- Georgia Currently listed as 4th on depth chart
Ty Simpson- Alabama Currently 3rd on Depth chart with two QB's in 2023 recruiting class
Hudson Card- Texas Currently second on depth chart behind Quinn Ewers with Arch Manning on the way

Gabe. I had the following in the questions for the mailbag and you didn’t answer.
Has bill Self been punished for any of his Level 1 violations? If so, what was done? If not, can you give a quick summary as to why? I honestly lost track over the years and Saturday's game was the first reminder for a while.
In case you thought I was being sarcastic, I was honestly asking because I’ve lost track over the years.
If not that would you please let me know why you opted not to answer?
Fans will have to wait another year until the University of Missouri and the University of Kansas renew the Border War rivalry, 41 Action News confirmed Tuesday.
How long does it take a new coach to understand what the border war means? Will Gates develop his own hatred of kU?
Anyone who remembers Norm remembers that he didnt like kansas. It's possible that it was just PR Coach-speak but I believe those games meant more to him. Chiefs fans remember how Marty Schottenheimer hated the raiders. And he made sure his players did too. self has shown that he doesn't like Mizzou. And he's shown that he gets his players up to win that game. Maybe it's that he holds a grudge for Mizzou not hiring him or just living in Lawrence for 30 years and learning to hate the rival.
They said on the broadcast that Gates was Mizzou's 6th head coach since self was hired. Gabe said going into the game that nobody on Mizzou's bench including Gates knew what to expect for that atmosphere. He just hasn't experienced it. And personally he came off a little too star struck for my taste. I get that self is a hall of famer but we don't like or respect him here.
Did Quin give off the impression that he hated kU? What did it take for Mike Anderson to get there? Was it just recruiting Kansas City kids who already understood it? I think Haith only played them one year so I doubt he developed it. What needs to happen for Gates to buy in?
My 8th grade grandson (lives in California), just received an invitation to U of Virginia prospect program for next July. He is hitting 90+ fastballs and is a switch hitter. Plays short stop. How do I get him on Mizzou’s radar?
Dennis Gates: "I anticipate Isiaih helping us without a doubt...The transition he's going through, he's gonna get to the other side of it and he's gonna help us win ballgames and I'm excited about it....Everyone's transition is different. He'll help us without a doubt."
The new 3rd and Bannister. Really high on Mekhi Miller. He can be our move the chains guy that makes big catches. Mr. Clutch. Wease can be our deep threat. Mookie can hopefully provide some big play offense now that he is healthy and steadily saw his production grow. And Luther needs to step up and be the guy he is getting paid to beeebo Samuel 2.0. And if Luper is healthy then we got an arsenal for somebody to toss it to.

2023 OL is heading to Wisconsin this weekend. Currently committed to Cincinnati, looks like Fickell wants him in the Big Ten.
Missouri has been pushing, Marcus Johnson had an in-home last week
One last point after coming across this article. What upsets me more than anything was what seemed to be the lack of preparation from Gates/mizzou. Knowing how big this atmosphere would be and what it would mean to the fan base, Gates seemed to downplay it all week. ‘Business as usual’
It was clearly not ‘business as usual’ for kU. Self had this team next-level prepared. They practiced all week going at the full press court against 8 guys…no wonder they blew right past us. I know it’s year one for Gates but man, he needed to have the boys locked in and executing a game plan. From what we saw, there was no game plan. I didn’t expect a W, just wanted to see us execute competent basketball and run to the fight.
