NEW STORY SEASON GLANCE: THE FIRST FIVE

I’m still away from my computer today. I’ll be back tonight with a couple of stories about yesterday’s games to come tomorrow and Tuesday.

But I was able to get some basketball stories ready to go so you guys still had some great content to read.

Here’s the start of a preview of the season, going five games at a time.

FOOTBALL Brady Cook

It’s been kind of talked about that Brady Cook could possibly apply a waiver for an extra year because of burning his for the bowl game against Army. Would you rather have the guarantee of him being back if a waiver was granted or roll the dice in the portal?

Tiger "Walk"

Are we serious with that? I'm not huge on ragging on names because I don't really want to come up with something better. But this seems to be a serious lack of awareness. One of the favorite things for people on this board to do is make fun of the Arkansas walk and talk deal. I think I saw in another thread someone suggested the Tiger Walk name, which must have been a troll job on the site administrators. Nice work by that poster.

FOOTBALL *** MIZZOU DEFEATS UMASS 45-3 ***

Missouri bounced back in its final non-conference matchup of the season, defeating Massachusetts 45-3.

Marcus Carroll anchored the run game, freshman linebacker Nicholas Rodriguez led the Tigers in tackles and a few injuries piled up.

I have the live game thread duties remotely, with Kyle out the remainder of the day.

Missouri enters 4-1 against a Massachusetts program that has one win this season: FCS Central Connecticut.

DE Joe Moore and LB Triston Newson are out with undisclosed injuries, leaving to more opportunities for freshman edge rushers Williams Nwaneri and Jaylen Brown and redshirt freshman Jahkai Lang to mix in.
