I know most will not agree, but I think some head coaches will use the 10th asst coach position to hire an asst coach whose only responsibility is working with the QB. Like a qb “ whisperer”. A personal tutor for the QB position.
With the increased use of the RPO in offenses, and the need to pre read defenses, having an asst coach who only focuses on those things might be an asset.
I can see where a 4-5 star qb recruit picks college X because they have such a set up and college Y does not.
