I’ve been saying this for a few months....
There are quite a few similarities between the 2013 & 2018 seasons..... Both teams had a lot of experience coming back after a difficult season... The 2017 season ended up better than the 2012 season, but we can all agree the experts weren’t counting us.
We started each season with relatively two easy games which we looked good in both. The 3rd game of the season matched up against B1G teams from the state of Indiana that were both supposed to be middle of the pack at best, but we were still worried... Of course, we haven’t played Purdue yet, but it is looking more likely that we can go up to the state of Indiana and win.
The next game both yrs followed with highly ranked UGA teams which on paper looked strong but with some questions. To top it off, both games were set for 12 pm EST time slot. Now, the 2013 game was on the road.... but still.
Let’s hope we pull out the win against Purdue and then “shock” the world against UGA.... We just can’t lose our starting QB this time around.
Finally, we set to play the Gamecocks the following game. Of course, we didn’t have Bama on the schedule and the guaranteed loss.
Dare I dream though to he 5 - 1 coming out of the 1st games!
