After 4 games for ten teams and 3 for the other four, the SEC has only FOUR teams with zero or one loss. Is Mizzou in the race in the East? The next two scheduled games (Kentucky on Oct. 24 and @Florida (maybe) on Oct. 31 should go a long way in answering this question. Kentucky is not a great team; however, the Wildcats are (once again) a dangerous team for Mizzou. Tigers will have an excellent chance if (1) Tigers limit turnovers (max one); (2) Tigers lean on the run game; and (3) The OL protects Bazelak and he makes good decisions...most of the day. As far as Florida, no one can tell when the Gators will even be able to practice...let alone play another game. For now, I'll assume the game on Halloween is still played. If the Tigers beat Kentucky (even by one point...note: UK has a very questionable kicker), then IMO the Tigers will have a real chance at winning in Gainesville. If the Tigers get to 3-2, they may, or may not, have their destiny in their hands, but (after looking at the other East members schedules) they are in good shape. After the Nov 7 bye week, home to Georgia is a perfect time (Georgia and Florida meet during our bye week). After Georgia, all games are winnable. This year in the SEC nothing can be taken for granted; however, today, Mizzou is still alive in the East and if they play well, there is hope that the Tigers can do a lot of damage (and finish at 7-3, or better).
