5500 tickets sold to Liberty Bowl?

I just called the ticket office to donate a couple of tickets to the student body. I was told students have bought about 800 of their 1000 allotment and that close to 5000 tickets have been sold to the general public. The numbers were a bit better than I expected.

Has anyone heard similarly?
