Hearing from multiple people that Terry Beckner Jr. hit his goals in the classroom this semester and that it appears everything is where it needs to be for him to qualify.
Now, a word of caution, Beckner is not at this point (like plenty of other guys) through the NCAA Eligibility Center yet. So we're not reporting that he is 100% cleared and ready to go. That is a process that, as you all know, is ongoing. We've seen guys like Tony Temple and Aldon Smith have some hangups due to that. Normally, we don't really like covering steps of the process like this, but it's been so publicized that we felt like when we get info like this it should be shared. Again, it's not a done deal, but the people we've talked to in the last couple hours basically told us there is reason to feel good, but until he's through the Eligibility Center it's not official.
