So lets say Porter has an injury that would prevent him from playing this year. We have the players to have a pretty good team and could still get to the tourney with the players we have. Now what does that mean for Porter?

If he does not play this year and no NBA scout sees him for a least a good part of a season would he still be a lottery pick? I say no and maybe not even a 1st rounder. If he has an injury he would have to prove he could still play and not be a risk right away. To me that means he would almost have to come back for another year. If he is healthy and still the same player he could play with the same team he has today with more experience (yes some will be gone). That would actually play out better than this year as those guys we are waiting to develop would be and could really be special.

cue up the sunshine pumper music...
