I think Matter is spot on with these answers....and there are many other at this link. His answers are always fair and balanced. His weekly chat is always a good for an avid Mizzou fan.

1) QUESTION: How much does Andy Hill earn as an assistant coach? When he coached QBs, we had mediocre QB play. When he coached WRs, lots of dropped passes. Now that he coaches special teams, lots of poor, costly special teams play. Do you think he'll be back next year?

ANSWER: Andy Hill makes $417,500.
I don't know who will be back next year. But let's clear something up: The 2013 offense was one of the best in team history and the quarterback play was pretty good, with Hill as the QB coach. He was the position coach for Justin Gage, Jeremy Maclin, Danario Alexander, Tommy Saunders, Jared Perry, TJ Moe ... just about every Mizzou receiver in the record books. J'Mon Moore dropped passes. Guess what he's still dropping them in the NFL and it's why he isn't playing much for the Packers. Hill is one of the most important people to come through MU's program in the last 30 years.
As I've written a lot this season, the special teams play has been shaky. But for years Mizzou fans wanted one person in charge of special teams. I always thought it was more efficient to assign every assistant coach one unit to master. That way, when you're practicing kickoffs, you have one guy working closely with the kickoff unit and another guy working closely with the return unit. Also, if you're ST coordinator isn't very good, doesn't that mean all of your ST units are going to suffer? I've always thought it made more sense to divide up those duties.

2) QUESTION:
Isn't it fair to say BO is a fine assistant coach and even better person, but not a major college Head Coach? Much the way KA looked in over his head at this level, and he has been better overall than KA, but last Saturday was his tenure as a head coach in a nutshell. How hot is seat actually? Will 6-6 and a idon'tcare.com bowl be enough to bring him back with the things MU is doing to the stadium and program overall.

ANSWER: Common sense says a 6-6 finish is the gray area where a decision on the program's future is hard to project. It's obviously a step backward from last season. On the other hand, it's hard to reason that this team isn't better than the 2017 version. This team is two plays away from being 6-2 and ranked in the top 20. That's not an excuse, but ADs look at things beyond the W-L record, and when you fully evaluate this team and the direction it's gone, this team has played better against better competition - it just hasn't finished two winnable games. Sterk has said he wants this program to be a perennial top 25 team that competes in the SEC. Ultimately, Sterk has to ask himself if Odom is the coach to get that done. And he has to answer that question whether the Tigers win five, six, seven or eight games.
