I was out hitting the gyms this weekend and came across a little info. First off regarding Tyler Cook, I'm not as confident in saying he'll end up at Mizzou as I was a month ago. As you guys know, I ride with my STL peeps through thick and thin, right or wrong, and I never criticize them. Been hesitant to post this but for those thinking Tyler can come in and have an impact on this team you're in for a rude awakening. He's 6'8 and all he can do is dunk. No low-post moves, no range on his jumper and his ballhandling is suspect. So if people are thinking he's the next coming, please get those thoughts out of your head.

Talked to a few people regarding the next couple of classes of instate kids and 2018 is the 1 to look forward to. Not that any of the kids are that interested in Mizzou anyways. Talked to Courtney Ramey yesterday and he's still focused in N.C. State. I asked him why not stay local and he said if he did it would be Illinois. I finally got a chance to talk to Terrence as well, and the good news is that he likes Mizzou. Bad news is that he loves Kansas, and if they offer he said it's a done deal. Carteare is all over the place, he changes his mind almost every time I see him. Always a couple different schools that he likes, but Mizzou is never mentioned. Carteare will be the best of the 3 and his game is more advanced than Tyler's already. He's the same size but he can shoot and dribble.

I thought the Tate hire was ok at the time, but as I think about it more, there's not a lot of major talent coming through the Eagles for the next couple of years. The 3 just mentioned are all Ramey/Jets united. No Tatum, Sneed or possibly Cook would like real bad if that was what this hire was based on. Tilmon is a 2017 kid who has no interest in Mizzou as of now. Maybe they hired him for his Juco ties because that seems to be where they are going to get a majority of their kids.

Another tidbit I heard all the way from my people in Columbia. You guys need to remember in recruiting perception is reality. Not saying he's not going to Washington, but I was told that with Romar on the hot seat the Porter commitment is more like trying to buy him an extension with the school. Follow me guys, if you can go to your A.D. and say I got a commmitment from the brother of the #1or 2 ranked kid in the country for next year and I need a kittle more security because he wants to bring his friends with him. New extension, more mo e.g. on the buyout if they flop before the Porters get to college. Just what I was told and I hadn't thought of that before.
