Just finished watching the game... probably repeating what already was said, but I got to get it out...
1) Too many of our players looked like they were not interested in playing. No energy, listless, slow to recover. And that was at the start. I won't say they quit or that Drink has lost the locker room. But there is something majorly wrong.
2) On the TV the crowd was not great... but might be the best we have this year if things don't change. Even the commentators remarked how quiet it was and how it did not feel like an SEC stadium.
3) Who want's to give Drink and extension?
4) IS it talent? Yes. Is it coaching not taking advantage of what we have? Yes. Where is the responsibility for this year? 100% on Drink. With the portal, and hiring his coaches, this is all his. No more blaming Odom. (and unless you had not noticed, Odom has his guys playing hard).
5) Thank goodness UNT is coming to town. We should win unless the team has quit. If we lose that one, we won't win another game this year.
6) And speaking of winning another one... Vandy, UNT... that's is unless there is a huge change. I know Arky lost to UGA.. but UGA is the best team in the nation. USCe might not be good but they are inspired. It's going to be close.
7) Drink was doing well on the recruiting trail. Losing a game or two is not a big deal. Losing like this.... nobody wants to play for a team that plays like this. I am not saying Drink will lose the class, but it's hard to see how top players will say thanks but no thanks.
8) The announcers were bored... and ran out of anything worth saying. That's how bad it got.... not the way to attract national attention.
But hey, the good news is that even with the worst D in the nation... we are STILL better than kU. And the B12 might be expanding again...
