Missouri refused to take no for an answer in the Hyperloop One sweepstakes and is back in contention for the first Hyperloop because the state has been aggressive in its pursuit of being on the forefront of this new form of travel.
And, now, the state is finally getting really smart. With this kind of work, no longer will "One Mizzou" just be a catch-phrase that we don't really follow.
Alone, Kansas City and St. Louis aren't likely to get the 50,000 jobs a new Amazon promises. But, together, each city might get 20,000+ jobs, and the land-grant and flagship university of the state is in the middle of it all. And that's something that is a real boost for the whole state. You have to like this, regardless of your other opinions on the Gov.
