This same team would have folded the tent earlier in the season IMO. If we had handled our adversity like this in the beginning of the season, we easily beat USC.
To start the game we had the drops. On our first series, we had Hall for what might have been a TD, but at least a first down. Instead, we go three and out. That's ok, the next series on offense we run the ball down their throat and take a 7-0 lead. Then came the Lock pic 6 (which I thought was a free play, which kind of makes it worse as far as feeling sorry for yourself). I was worried at that point in the game. Could we see USC part two. It was barely a blip and we went on to crush Tennessee. Maybe it is nothing, but I believe we have watched this team mature before our very eyes. If Lock comes back next season, we will be a very good team.
