Georgia looks pretty damn good. Kentucky..coach on hot seat..total collapse 2nd half. Vandy, coach on hot seat, looked totally inept on offense, as opposed to just inept our performance in our game. SCjr. Could beat Vandy, was nearly as bad as Vandy. Tenner...relied on a fumble into end zone in waning minutes to win. Appy state did everything they could via their kicker and coach time management to let Tenner win. Hardly looked like a top ten team, Coach on hot seat.
Florida, beat UMass but wasn't a pretty effort. They were really good with the QB that played his last game against us before PED ban. after that not so much.
LSU on the road against an unranked but good team seems overrated and one dimensional, coach on hot seat soon, it never got less than warm.
ARky, lucky to beat La Tech. Their OL was not close to same as last year in pass protection. their backs are not of same caliber. Their D allowed La Tech to maintain drives both running and passing.
So though we got our butts kicked, I only see Ga as a team likely to run us out of the stadium right now. thinking we are going to win at LSU is a big stretch after week one, but a bigger one before.
The rest of the games are winnable based on first games of all. Will we win them all, Nope. But the idea that we are uncompetitive and will go winless in the SEC that some media types believe is way too early.
I recall when ATM went into SCeast a couple years ago and blew out the team that was highLy ranked, forgot score but was like 50 -10 w ATMs Qb looking like Aaron Rodgers. Everyone was penciling in ATM for the playoffs and an SEC title. within three weeks, that QB was benched ATM was getting beat regularly and Sumlin was very unpopular at Kyle field.
So I felt in some ways good about the first week. We have issues, but so does every team we play, some just as bad or worse.
