What type of quarterback would you rather have? A Mauk-esque QB,who will frustrate you with inaccuracy and bad turnovers, or an Alex Smith-esque QB, who refuses to throw to your best receiver or past the chains on 3rd down?
Honestly, I don't know. I watch Mauk on Saturday and think I couldn't be more frustrated. Come Sunday/Monday, I see Alex Smith throw short of the chains and get just as frustrated.
