Without a doubt the best player today in Springfield. I had heard a little about this young man but to see him in person is a real treat. To quote one of the all time greats in Stewart Scott, "He is just as cool as the other side of the pillow."
Plays well over the rim and is a glider with a release that is completely over his head and picture book. He is shooting 56% from the field this year and 36% from 3. That is at the guard position at 6'4". I bet he gets better from deep as his ball is so light even when he misses it is just all over the rim. We were in the 1st. row and he had a two hand dunk in front of us. Without pulling himself up, it looked like he was looking down inside the rim. Just a fantastic athlete.
Really like Cam'ron but Mohammed has a lot more tools and plays just as big as Fletcher. from the Guard position.
On a McKinney note, this young man never takes a play off. He must be in the most outstanding shape of any athlete I have ever seen. Gives 110% on defense and will without a doubt be our best lock down perimeter defender next year. Looks to me to be way stronger and way better forum than Pinson. Another glider that plays way over the rim. Someone may correct me but he seems to make very good decisions with the ball and keeps it out of harms way. Don't know his assist to turnover ratio, but he is really good with the ball. For Mario the play is never over, he thinks he can make just about anything work
Shot free throws horrible and even missed iron on one. Probably should have had over 30 just by hitting his free throws. I'm really like Hood on him.. He needs to run and play free. I'm just glad he is not going to Arkansas, he would be a total load in that system.
On another note, that gym is the darkest place I've ever seen a game. For cripes sakes the players were all making shadows. They also have flashing white and blue banners where they light up the arena and then it goes almost totally dark. Usually when someone is shooting free throws. They have a problem.
Fun day and sorry Hood's daughters lost. That game was super physical, there were bodies all over the floor with the 3rd. quarter resembling SEC football. The girls game is way more physical than the boys.
