The whole football hire has been a failure since day 1. They fire and initiate a "buyout" of a coach they just gave an extension to last year. You'd think if they were going to buyout Odom, they'd already have their guy lined up and ready to hit the ground running. Instead they're spending $100,000 to hire a consulting firm?? Now the top 2 candidates are out of the Sun Belt Conference?? The whole damn thing is embarrassing. I don't see a top recruit jumping at the chance to come to Mizzou and play for a coach they've never heard of. They HAVE to make a hire with a coach that makes players and fans want to come, or next years average attendance will be LESS than 50,000 a game, and nobody other than the diehards will even care. What a trainwreck they have going on there.
