If this has been discussed ad nauseum on another thread, sorry to waste your time but I had not seen his name mentioned previously. Does anyone know much about the Memphis athletic department? I feel like Memphis is an upward trending program and Bowen has been a part of that. Successful fundraiser with a big gift from the Lauries. Also, relationships with Wren Baker and Barry Odom. Interesting resume. AD for several years at San Jose State then to Memphis. Also, a stint as executive director of the 49ers Foundation. If the number I found is correct, he's being paid $416,00. Mizzou could wow him with more money. San Jose State to Memphis to Mizzou just feels like the appropriate trajectory of a candidate that we would want and also could possibly get. But, again, I don't know the ins and outs of Memphis athletics. Anyone with more knowledge than myself care to chime in?
