NASA's DART mission ends today. I honestly don't think this is going to work, but I’d love to be wrong.
T-35 minutes until the DART spacecraft impacts the binary asteroid Dimorphos and Didymos, in an effort to change its solar orbit just enough to prove we can defend our Earth from an extinction-level asteroid impact.
This is being broadcast in near real-time on NASA TV and Discovery Channel. There's also a trailing spacecraft that will film the impact from a different angle, as well as the aftermath of the collision.
