... over Demetrious Mason is b/c Hall can only run deep go routes.
I'm serious. Have we seen him do anything else? Have we seen him run a deep post? Deep corner? Any comeback or stop routes?... How 'bout a quick slant or a dig route?... Anything on the route tree other than the deep go?
Obviously, the young man has tremendous speed and he's been great at getting behind just about any corner who's tried to cover him the last couple of weeks. And I gotta feeling he's gonna be running right past these SUPER-SLOW Idaho DBs all day today, but as we go forward, I really hope we start to see them using him doing other things.
Mason may have had an attitude problem, but the reason he was starting was he was equally as good as Hall on the deep routes AND he could run the other routes on the route tree too. Here's hoping that as Hall gets to play more, he won't just settle for being a great go route guy and nothing else. Let's hope he improves on his other routes and becomes dangerous on those too.
I know a lot of y'all don't like J'Mon either. But J'Mon can run every route and get open on every route, not just deep balls. It'll be great if we can start to see Hall start getting open on those other routes too.
