I know it's been beaten to death but. Exactly how many potential Pinkel recruits could be but aren't on this year's team? Either they didn't pan out, failed out, or got kicked off. I'm sure it's much higher than average even with a coaching change. Howard, Brady, Brantley, Bauer etc. Certainly not landing top guys sucks but the best guys need to pan out and your late pickups have to actually contribute. There's alot of guys who should be the leaders on this defense who aren't here. If things don't pan out on defense it's not because of the sophomores and freshman, it's the (non participant) seniors and juniors.
Edit:LB-DB Hall and Abigsmere, Warren, and Hines 2015. Lee and Winters at LB Wingo, Dennis, Cheadle, Stribling, and Taylor 2014 Biesel and Burkett, Rupert and Singleton 2013. We knew we were in trouble with some of these guys, but taking Jucos and guys switching position or lack of talent has killed us. Warren is a LB, Wingo is a wr, Abigsmere is a DE. Singleton and Dennis are long gone, and we struck out on most of the rest while taking few in number. 2 DBs and LBs per year at a position that fields 7/11 or 8/11 of our defense. That's 13 players if everyone was on the team for three classes, the reality is it's 9 total players on our defense from 3 classes
