So there is some flirting among Russia and China and a little Saudis sprinkled in.
Right now, the only Axis of evil is Russia and Iran and Syria lite.
It’s no secret that we are heading to confrontation with China. Pieces are being moved. I watch UST holdings as US showed we will weaponize those. So if I see countries dumping them, it’s either they need dollars (most likely) or they are reducing vulnerability to USA whim.
So right now, it still looks like a collision course of West versus East (Russia, China). I’m really curious to see Saudis in all of this as they have been US best buds for a while. But the OPEC moves don’t exactly scream BFFs anymore and MBS is crazy.
Last piece IMO is Turkey. A unified bloc of Saudis, Iran, Turkey, would be brutal in terms of energy consolidation. I have a hard time seeing Saudis and Iran buddying up.
