Just realized this, but B1G started conference play in basketball already? About a month earlier than any other conference? Is this new this year? I don't seem to recall this happening prior to this year but maybe I've been so unplugged the last few years that it completely escaped me.
Is this because they are doing home/away for every conference opponent? Or are they taking the SEC football approach where you schedule some cupcakes within the typical conference schedule to provide some "breaks"?
