When I graduated the first time from Mizzou it was during the heat of a Missouri summer. I participated in the graduation ceremony as well. Why, because my mom wanted to see me get a diploma. It was held on the South end of the Quad. Damn it was hot. Thing I most remember is a guy about 6 people in front of me had on white' women's, pumps. aka Max Klinger on MASH. Shoes were clearly visible and it appeared he was wearing shorts under the gown. He stepped forward to get his diploma and said "Thanks Babs, it was real."
As my mom was sitting in the small audience, I just took my diploma from Babs, said thanks, and left.
