Starts in 20 minutes. I'll pass along info.

Odom here now. He's excited to play at home again. Started week with a good practice on Sunday night.

"The opponent obviously is one that will present a number of challenges."

Congratulates Johnathon Johnson on SEC freshman of the week honors. Said JJ did the punt return pretty much on his own, Mizzou only made one block.

On Nick Chubb: "He's a tremendous player. They do a great job schematically...Their tailback's one of the best in the country if not the best."

Really impressed with UGA tight ends.

Said Mizzou's run defense was better on Saturday, still has a ways to go. "It was better at times. The thing I think we struggled with the most the other day was yards after contact and missed tackles."

Asked if the DL has adapted well, but fair to ask if they're still adjusting. "I really like our defensive line. I think they're going to have a tremendous year."

Specifically on the changes: "A little bit at times we're asking more of a read scheme. There's times we're playing up vertical on the LOS, there's times that we're not."

Great improvement from week one to two.

Asked why change the scheme: "Terminology's a little bit different, but schematically it's not an overhaul change...Still pretty early in this year to say we're good or bad. I like the progress we're making, I know we're going to end up being a really good football team."

As of right now, Tucker McCann would be the kicker. Could change after the week of practice.

Injuries: Penton and Ross were limited last night, but feel confident they will practice tomorrow. Culkin practiced last night.

Odom said someone told him four hours before kickoff only one Mizzou coach since 1957 had won the first home game of his career.

On TJ Warren: Playing mostly on special teams. It's not a health issue. Simply ranked behind other cornerbacks at this point in time. "As the season goes on here and the weeks kind of come and go, I think he's going to continue to work to help us in a number of different areas."

Odom says he's gotten to know Kirby Smart the last few months. "The defensive guys kind of follow each other around a little bit."

Says the UGA defense is similar in structure to Alabama, but they do a lot of different things. Hasn't seen enough of Alabama to know if it's an exact match.

Nate Howard had a really good practice "getting closer and closer to helping us." Nate Brown about four weeks in on rehab process, will see where that goes.

On freshmen, says Trystan Castillo is a snap away from going in. I asked him if there's a cutoff date for when to make a decision on redshirts. He said probably about midway point of the season is when you make that final determination if health allows.

Asked about the holes he sees in UGA after game against Nicholls, Odom handles it like a pro: "Not many at all."

"I think it would be wise for us to prepare for both (quarterbacks) and I think we'll probably see both."

On the facilities and announcement from last week: "I think it's such a huge positive step...It's fun for me to be able to sit in and help design the thing on what will make Mizzou football move forward for the next 20 years. The decisions that we're making today will have an impact on a lot of student athletes that will put us in position to help us with our championship vision."

Odom says since they got started with camp, the boycotts and such haven't really come up (he was asked because apparently some Mizzou leaders are having a forum about what happened last year tomorrow). Reiterates how excited he is about the future, the program, the school, etc.

"In the world today there's certain hot topics that come up that nobody wants to talk about. That's not me."

Asked if he thinks other programs use the boycotts against Mizzou in recruiting: "I don't know."

On Chris Black: Going into the game, didn't look and say he's not playing. Wingo and Johnson played well, plus scoring drives didn't last very long. "I think Chris is continuing to improve his speed of the game...that's the way this offense is, a different guy's going to step up and maybe have statistically a quote, unquote better game than somebody else."

On Augusta on offense: "I was really happy to line up under center and go get the first down." Talks about Hanneke's great block at point of attack and Augusta's blocking two guys. Said Augusta was happier about his block than Damarea Crockett was about the TD

Says all four DTs play similar reps, Augusta's may be a little lower, but all four guys are interchangeable.

On Kendall Blanton: Ball skill's have always been really good, point of attack blocking getting better. "I think he's got a chance to be a really, really, really good player."

Says McCann's confidence level is pretty high still. Praises his kickoffs, how he bounced back from the miss. "I was proud of his effort."

On Crockett bouncing back after fumble: "I would hope it would be a huge confidence builder for him. Things happen. Life's hard. Football's hard. Youv'e got to make sure you're strong enough mentally when you've got a team behind you, a family behind you, that you bounce back."
