Asked if he can elaborate on what he meant by "doing too much" on defense, he said "Not really." Basically said it's South Carolina week and they've moved on to that.
I asked if they have had this game circled and he said yes because it's the first conference game, but as soon as this one's over the next one is the biggest one.
SC did everything right s far as kicking game, turnover margin, etc, in week one.
On Muschamp: Knows him somewhat well based on similar defensive backgrounds, respects him.
Played 13 guys who signed in Feb: Important to get them out there in the environment for the rest of this season and years to come. Have to be aggressive on speeding up the learning curve. "It was far from being good enough the other day, but we'll get there with them."
Honestly very little that wasn't covered on the teleconference at this point, which I expect to be the case.
McCann's performance on kickoffs this week important because Deebo Samuel is very dangerous as a return man for South Carolina. "After this week I'll be a fan of his the rest of this year. I like the way he plays the game."
