I'll pass along information here, which you all can then summarily get angry about.
"I don't think anything's unrealistic" as far as the rest of the season. "If you're determined enough and you're willing to pay the price then you've got the opportunity."
"Look at the big picture of where we are and what we will go get accomplished and I'm looking upward and onward."
Asked about time of possession, says it doesn't really matter if you're scoring points. Also says the defense has to get off the field to help that out.
Thomas Wilson: Practiced a lot more consistent, become a leader back there.
On safeties: Sherrils didn't practice much on Tuesday last week, didn't play as much as he might have. Perkins still not completely over the injury. All of the guys have a role. "Don't think that we've got one guy besides Thomas that's really stepped up and is an every down guy."
On Jordan Ulmer: "Hasn't done anything just terrible to not get back out there, but his week one performance" wasn't as good as his practices. "Things hit him fast...need some more practice time." Going to be a great player, but not ready yet.
On Auburn: Impressed with the OL and the running game.'
"I look at it as not where I want this football team to be and I've got to do what I think is necessary to get us there."
On defensive identity: "We're getting there. I know it doesn't seem like it but we are getting there."
Says he has probably done too much as far as volume of calls defensively. Maybe needs to simplify things and focus on what they do well.
Akial Byers: Played tackle due to Walter Palmore's injury. Long term, he can play any of the four spots on the line. Thinks he could get up to 305-310 and play inside. Right now can help anywhere.
Christian Holmes: Hopeful it's an eight week injury, so could get him back in second half of the season. WOn't know for sure until later down the road.
Is this game a must win? "Everybody wants to win. I know the fans want to win and everybody in this building wants to win...We're three games into this deal, we've got nine games left, I still believe with very strong conviction we're gonna be all right."
On tight ends: Combo of other teams taking them away and Missouri missing some chances. Got to be able to stretch the field or find a way to get them more opportunities.
On Lock: Expect him to play at a really high level, protect the football. "I think him to be a lot better."
On backup QB: Micah Wilson has some skills, especially running the ball. Seen him and Jack Lowary in practice. Depends on game situation which one they would use.
Punt returner: Will be either Johnson or Floyd. Have looked at a couple freshmen, but will stick with those two. Says they need to do a better job up front. Both fumbles have been due in part to blockers getting too close to the return man.
