For those who care, I will post anything of note
-All losses are difficult, this one probably "hurt just a little bit more than maybe our previous losses." Said everyone had bought in throughout the bye week "so it hurts and that's probably a good thing. It's another sign for me that we're making some progress and eventually we're going to break down the wall."
-"Disappointed that we didn't win the game but there was some thought about how we matched swing for swing and punch for punch with Kentucky." Said he thought the team played inspired and matured.
-Now have to take that and build on it.
-Georgia is "playing as complete football as anybody in the country."
-"There's a little bit of light at the end of the tunnel" and they'll keep working to get there.
-Says Robin Pingeton stopped by his office this morning to offer encouragement. "People that know what's going on have seen that we're making some progress."
-UGA "has got skill all over the field." Says Athens is one of the best environments he's ever played in. Says they have four running backs who could start for almost anybody, OL is playing very physical, Fromm playing very well at QB, receivers can stretch the field. Defensively, "They're not giving up many yards, not giving up many points."
-Reaction to the SEC statement: "Let's do enough up to that point where we don't put ourselves in that position at the end of the game." "Appreciate their transparency in getting back to what happened."
-Injury report looked good. Jason Reese had a leg muscle get hurt pre-game. Sherrils hadn't passed concussion protocol.
-On Acy: Difficult to teach "in that certain situation." He supports the targeting rule, but hard to teach when a kid drops his head a little bit or is going down. Said Acy did lead with his facemask. Have to continue to target lower. Trying to do that and teach it in practice. "If it's close they're probably going to err on the side of the game."
-On Terez Hall: "He's played really solid. He's played a lot of snaps. Grown up." Says he's got leadership qualities and is starting to back it up.
-Emanuel Hall: Practice habits have become better. Has grown up a little bit.
-On Kirby Smart: Good coach, recruited well, he's got a lot of support at a great football school.
-On whether he'd attempt a field goal to tie a game: Depends on the field position. Feels good about the kicker and the holder, "I don't feel very good about our snapper and our protection."
-On starting faster: "If I knew there was a way out there for us to get going, man I'd do it."
-On Jake Fromm: "Obviously his physical skill set is pretty darn high." Capable of pulling the ball and hurting you in zone read. Pressure doesn't effect him much. Very talented.
