Baseball retired numbers

I went to the game today. New infield looks good.
Question for anyone:
There are only three retired numbers for the baseball team. Coaches Hi Simmons & Gene MacArtor (sp) and player Phil Bradley.
Anyone know why Max Scherzer’s number is not retired?
