COLUMBIA, Mo. – A pair of five-run innings led Kentucky to a 15-6 win over Missouri baseball in the series opener on Thursday night at Taylor Stadium.

Torin Montgomery led Mizzou (19-12, 3-10) at the plate with a 2-for-4 night and four RBI. The first baseman launched a three-run home run in the bottom of the first to give the Tigers a lead which held until the fourth.

Spencer Miles (2-3) took the loss in the start. The right-hander allowed eight runs in five innings.

Trailing 3-2, Kentucky scored five in the top of the fourth to seize control. Estep lifted his first homer to start the inning. Four more Wildcat hits and an error would lead to the 7-3 edge.
