This time last Sunday the Mizzou baseball was losing its fourth straight game at Vanderbilt. The Nashville series saw the Tigers lose their position atop the SEC East and fall to third in the division standings. Missouri wouldn't look much improved in a midweek loss to Missouri State in Springfield.
Missouri's five game losing streak seems like a distant memory now. The Tigers clinched a conference series against Ole Miss following a 4-2 victory Friday and an 18-1 blowout yesterday.
Game 3 sees the same lineup for the Tigers as Game 2. Pete Fairbanks (team-best 2.52 ERA among starting pitchers) will go for his fifth win of the season against Mississippi's Scott Weathersby (3-1, 1.79 ERA).
First pitch is at 1:05 p.m., at Taylor Stadium.
