I want to start by saying that I am super excited about this basketball team and how this season has started. I love the fact that I can actually look forward to a basketball game right now.
That said not trying to be the wet blanket here but when I look at the roster I just don't see the pieces for the future. Essentially the entire starting roster is gone with the exception of Kobe (see below). I thought Martin was going to build a roster here. I don't know about you all but right now the way I see it is we are bad for 3 years and then maybe catch lighting in a bottle 1 out of 4 years. Are we ok having a good year 1 out of 4?
Long story short I will enjoy this year but man Martin is going to have to do something recruiting wise to change the trend. I am hopeful that this season may provide a spark on the recruiting trail otherwise I see big trouble next year.
