I'm not a big fan of the soft pressure half court man defense they run. The biggest problem with that defense is that it doesn't create easy buckets going the other way. He trying to play old Big 10 basketball, but these kids want to get up and down the floor. We don't create turnovers at all that leads to fast break buckets. That's what gets the crowd excited and up on there feet.
I know this team lacks talent, but with that being said they boring as hell to watch. Only player get to take ill-advised shots is JG, everybody else gets yanked. Where is this position less free flowing brand of basketball he talked about. Only thing I see is players stuck in position on the floor. Excluding KA players, there's still no skilled players on the roster. There's not a single player on this roster who I feel confident can go get a bucket with the game on the line. We need some playmakers, flat out.
