“Coach Drink is doing one heck of a job,” Sunkett said. “That’s my guy. He’s got great charisma. Players fall in love with him just by having a conversation with him. He makes you feel like you’ve known him for 50-plus years. You could not get a better coach that fits what Mizzou is trying to get done the next few years. I wish him nothing but the best. You can tell a guy who really cares about kids, and that’s what it’s all about. You want to send your athletes to somebody who is going to look after them and take care of them. My guys down there don’t have one complaint about what’s going on, whether they are starting or sitting on the bench. When you get that kind of feedback, you want to keep sending guys there, if you can.”
BenFred: If Mizzou (and its fans) want to compete with Gators and Bulldogs in NIL era, business decisions should be easy for area stars like Burden
If black-and-gold supporters are pointing a finger at Tigers coach Eli Drinkwitz to keep the recruiting momentum rolling, four more are pointing back at them in this NIL era
