Bernie just played the Odom post game remarks, and then commented
Let me summarize and say those that PM'rs that want unity and support for Odom should not listen to his podcast
He did not call for Odom's ouster.
BUT.....he criticized the coach for comparing the so called need for a turn around, and specifically for his comparison to Smith and Pinkel, saying it overstates the magnitude of the state of affairs, He failed to recognize the state of MU football when he took over the program versus when they did.
He wondered how a HC, DC, and position coach can be so thin skinned and be influenced by social media. He saw this as an attempt to re-brand a season, specifically after three one sided losses
He also went into some detail about what he did do to exacerbate the situation at hand, and questioned if he or anyone was talking rebuild this summer, when the offense returned a 3,000 yard passer, a 1,000 yard receiver, a 1,000 yard running back and a sound offensive line?
Nothing novel, nor nothing that has not been discussed on PM, and as importantly, the "taking to the mattresses; or them versus us" strategy was not discussed.
But Bernie does influence opinion, It will be interesting to hear what the other talking heads have to say
I am curious how KC talk radio handles this......
