COLUMBIA, Mo. – The University of Missouri wrestling team will have 10 seeded competitors at the 2023 Big 12 Championships, March 4-5, announced the conference office Monday, Feb. 27. The conference championship will begin Saturday, March 3 and conclude Sunday, March 5, in Tulsa, Okla.
Missouri leads the Big 12 with the entire lineup receiving selections, highlighted by redshirt juniors Brock Mauller (149 pounds) and Peyton Mocco (174 pounds) grabbing No. 1 seeds.
Sophomore’s Keegan O’Toole (165 pounds) and Rocky Elam (197 pounds) both received No. 2 seeds, while redshirt sophomore Noah Surtin (125 pounds), senior Jarrett Jacques (157 pounds) and redshirt junior Zach Elam(185 pounds) are all No. 3 seeds.
Furthermore, redshirt senior Connor Brown(133 pounds), classmate Allan Hart (141 pounds) and sophomore Colton Hawks (184) pounds earned five, six and four seeds, respectively.
This is the eighth neutral-site conference championship for the sport and the seventh in Tulsa. Missouri took home the Big 12 title last year in its first season with 131.5 points.
