Starters:
Defense: Turner, Beckner, Elliott, Anderson, hall, Garrett, Lee, Acy, Hilton, Bledsoe, Sparks
Offense: Brown, Albert O, Adams, Simms, Castillo, Pendleton, Durant, Johnson, Floyd, Rountree, Lock
Formation looks a lot like what we saw last year: One back, one TE, three WR.
Offense goes on fourth and one at midfield and converts on a Rountree run
Blanton and Christopherson both in for a two TE pistol set.
Akial Byers and Rashad Brandon the first defensive subs.
Third down is wholesale changes with Beckner and Whiteside at DT, Christian Holmes in as a third corner and Bledsoe sliding down to a S/LB hybrid spot.
Defense gets a stop at the +44 on the first series.
2nd string O: Wilson, Downing, Gicint, Ballard, Barrett Bannister Christopherson, Morrison-White, Cook, Dubinksi, Borom, Bailey
2nd string D: Agbasimere, Utsey, Whiteside, Sampson, Miller, Noah Robinson, Perkins, Holmes, Ulmer, Stribling, Gillespie
Wouldn't be surprised if we don't see Lock again. No real reason to play him any more. I wouldn't play Beckner again either.
Crockett on the field for the first time today on the first team offense's first drive of the day.
Mizzou still going at hyperspeed here. Nate Brown a popular target for Lock so far.
End of the first quarter:
Offense 0, Defense 0, Dried Paint Factor 7
Offense down to the 2 on a Crockett run. Next play is a batted pass by Hilton, Lock catches it for a four yard loss.
Lock to Johnson for six yards and a score. 7-0 offense building a nearly insurmountable lead.
Jack Lowary is the third QB to see action. Looks like the 2O vs 2D mostly
Lowary's first series ends in a three and out.
Jack Lowary 29 yards to Harry Ballard for a TD. Offense 14, Defense 0
First appearance at QB for Lindsey Scott Jr. He's out there with most of the rest of the first team offense. TreVour Simms puts him behind the chains with a false start.
Floyd was about two steps free on a deep route, but Scott's pass was underthrown into the wind.
Taylor Powell at QB. All five scholarship quarterbacks have now seen action.
Taylor Powell to Dominic Gicinto for a 65 yard TD. About to be 21-0 offense. I don't think the defense can come back.
Gicinto was back for a punt return there. He's a guy I'll be interested to watch in fall camp. Bigger than I thought he was and a possibility to see the field next year maybe.
Tyrone Collins back as a punt return man here.
HALFTIME: Offense 21, Defense 0
DeMarkus Acy just picked off Lindsey Scott. Unless my memory is failing me, Scott hasn't completed a pass today. Backup quarterback is going to be a thing to watch this fall.
Antar Thompson just batted down a pass. He's back at practice just three days after his father passed away.
Third quarter featured no scoring. I'm going down the field now.
