First let me say I'm not absolving Lock of all blame he does deserve some. But look at how the offense is constructed guys. A zone read system doesn't play to his strengths. We never use him as a running threat... Issue #1 2nd of all he has very few gimme throws. Very few. Every pass this game was either a 40yard out or a fly pattern. Where was his check down if the receiver wasn't open? Where were the draws. Where were the RB flare patterns. Like Henson he refuses to use the middle of the field. So basically every throw has to be perfect and is traveling 40 yards all the way across the field. What QB could succeed in this offense? None. The play calling is awful. We literally are easier to defend than when Henson was OC. It's as if they traded places. If Barry were smart he would give Heupel an chewing out something fierce and let him know if it happens again Andy Hill will be calling plays from here on out. It's no excuse to be this simple on offense. Lack of creativity. Lack of misdirection. Any defensive staff worth a damn can just play us in zone knowing we won't use the middle of the field and concentrate on jumping quick outs and bubbles. Essentially that's what the last 2 teams did. Will be what every team does here on out. Watch.
