I see a lot of people bashing the young man and saying he sucks at QB. He has definitely missed some open receivers, some of which would have been TDs. Lovett had a TD last week against Auburn if Cook only throws to the open field instead of pulling Lovett back into the defender with his throw.
Having said that, Cook's record at Mizzou is 2-3, however his record should be 4-1. He has lead his team on 2 game winning drives against Army and Auburn. Against Army, our defense let Army, a team who can't throw the ball worth a shit, march down the field through the air with almost no time on the clock. We all know what happened at Auburn, he got us to inside the 3 yard line while only needing a FG to win the game.
If I'm Drink, I'm running the 2 minute drill a whole lot more with Cook at QB. He seems to excel when the game is on the line in his limited starts. He also scored a TD to tie the game at the end of the 1st half. Just sayin.
