Drew Evers welcomed Missouri offensive line coach Brandon Jones for an in-person visit Friday.

Evers spoke with MizzouToday this past fall about Jones and limited free weekends to visit schools:

"I feel like I can talk to him for hours," Evers said. "Coach Jones has been one of my favorite coaches that I've met in the entire recruiting process, not only because he's knowledgeable, he knows what he's talking about, but also because he's a relatable person and has great track record so far."

It’s nice to see us in on so many 4 and 5 star kids. Drink and his staff are recruiting at a high level right now.
I hope we can get some of them to commit early.

Reichert the only 4 or 5 star here and he's in line to start this year. No more move them over and up, it's who can we plug from the portal. Kinda sad.

Evers and Jones talked about scheme and offseason plans:
"I see myself fitting in great. I think he and I both feel I can be a multi-position player on the line. I've been building a relationship with him for well over a year now, and he's awesome."

Visits come at a premium for Drew Evers.

The Class of 2026 four-star prioritized film study and trips to Connecticut to see his brother, Nick Evers, play during the weekends, leaving him little time for unofficial visits this past fall.

So when the NCAA Contact Period opened earlier this month, it offered Evers an opportunity to welcome coaches into his home and to Flower Mound (Tex.) High to grow in-person relationships with the many programs after him.

On Thursday, Missouri offensive line coach Brandon Jones stopped by Flower Mound to see Evers during his recruiting trip through Texas. Jones spoke with Evers about scheme and offseason plans.

"I see myself fitting in great," Evers said. :I think he and I both feel I can be a multi-position player on the line. I've been building a relationship with him for well over a year now, and he's awesome."

Jones last visited Evers in person in April, but he hasn't gotten the four-star on campus yet. In October, Evers listed Missouri as a program he wanted to visit, with his sights set on this spring for a possible visit.

"I've always wanted to get to Missouri," Evers said in October.
