Joe sat in his basement and claimed he would “Shut down the virus”. He claimed any president that lost 200,000 lives to this virus should not be president. He’s above 400,000 and counting.
Essentially he used the vaccines Trump administration produced in a time frame. Fauci and Dems said was impossible. Biden and Harris threw shade on that vaccine ..before election. Then first in line to get it and made Trumps vaccine the only facet of their approach to Covid. No public private partnership or fast track to get testing fast and available free or cheap everywhere. No push to have life saving monoclonal antibodies or oral anti virals produced and available afterEARLY EFFICIENT TESTING returned a positive result in at risk individual. No warp speed.
Just divisive rhetoric bashing the unvaccinated with diminishing returns and seemingly enjoying the division. He had his mission accomplished moment on July 4. But even the Delta surge did not cause him to up the game on testing and therapeutics. Just same ole bashing of unvaccinated..and mandates that have likely hurt as much as helped. Fauci and the CDC director have become political hacks and the FDA has returned to the slow bureaucracy it was before warp speed.
Now caught with their pants down with Omicron, they claim on the one hand to have expected it and we’re well prepared. And then in the next breath claim that nobody could have predicted this wave and they will have more testing than what is woefully inadequate and slow in the next couple months..way too late for this surge.
