There's been discussion that CBC is the new Cardinal Ritter and it's well documented that Mizzou hasn't landed a top-level recruit while missing on many. I don't recall this but people have mentioned recruits even choosing G5 schools over Mizzou.
Is this extended bad luck, do kids get immersed in the whole CBC attitude of being too good for anything but the shiniest and flashiest option (in my experience there's an arrogance that comes with all things CBC), or are there some CBC figures who openly have a problem with Mizzou and steer kids away from the home team?
