Can we finally admit that our recruiting scheme has caught up to us?

Every year we hear about how Pinkel pulls all of these great classes even though the rankings dont show it. Sure, we get good individual pieces every so often but overall our classes come in with not very much fanfare. Now we sit with the problem of having a serious shortage of playmakers on Offense, yet we question why. After a while your luck will run out when you solely take project players and hope for the best. You can not get away with that in the Southeastern Conference. This is why we struggle against the elite teams in conference. And before I get the excuses, look at what Ole Miss is doing. They are the exact opposite. A team that prioritizes recruiting well as a means of producing on Saturdays, and they are only ascending as a program because of it. As I stated before, hopefully we will wake up and realize this before it is too late, but I am not too optimistic.
