Two more tickets punched yesterday: Iona (MAAC) and 27 win UNCG (SoCon).

FIVE auto bids on the line today:

CAA: The top two teams in the conference square off for all the marbles. It’s 1 seed CoC vs 2 seed Northeastern. Each team finished 14-4 in league play and they have 23 and 25 wins, respectively, on the season. They play at 6 pm on CBSSN.

WCC: 1 seed Gonzaga faces off against 3 seed BYU, who beat St Mary’s last night and, with a win, potentially makes the WCC a 3 bid league (although St. Mary’s is gonna be sweating on selection Sunday).

NEC: 4 seed LIU Brooklyn (17-16, 10-8) at 1 seed Wagner (23-8, 14-4). Wagner has been the class of the league. I hope they take care of business.

Horizon: 12 win Cleveland State against 2 seed Wright State (24-9, 14-4). This league is a prime example of why these smaller leagues should give their best teams a bye to the semis. I don’t know why they wouldn’t want to send their best representative to the dance.

Summit: 2 seed South Dakota (26-7, 11-3) vs 1 seed South Dakota State (27-6, 13-1). The battle of South Dakota! South Dakota State is a team that could win a game or two in the NCAAs.

Semifinals on Tuesday:

The American East is the only league playing their semis on Tuesday. 1 seed Vermont (26-6, 15-1) dominated the league and is still alive. They play 13 win Stony Brook today.

Other conferences in early round action today:

ACC, MEAC, SWAC, and the Big Sky are all kicking their tournaments off today or in early round play.
