Change of pace qback

I've heard the term "change of pace back" for scat-type guys that play on third down or just to change things up. Can mizzou simply flip the qb script? Mauk can be the change of pace instead of Lock. He worked well in that role in 2013. Maybe Lock can start and mauk plays first series of 2nd and 4th quarter...or better yet leave it less scripted.
