I think Chase has probably the best job in the NFL. He has been the backup QB for a couple of teams for nearly 10 years. He has made good money and is healthy. Unless a starter gets hurt he will probably never play any meaningful minutes. No one has attempted to trade for him when they have lost their own QB.

I say this because I would love to see him become a coach after he retires. Similar to Heupel he played at a high level in college but never in the pros. I would like to see Heupel stay for at least a couple of years as an established OC before he leaves for a HC job. When that happens if BO can't find an OC who is also a QB coach he hires and OC and brings in Chase as a QB coach. Lord knows he has had enough instruction over the years you have to think he would have a lot to share. Not to mention backing up Brees he has learned about reading defenses and calling plays.

Not sure if he even wants to coach but would like to see what he could do.
